Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what TimeFeel for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch does with your data. TimeFeel is made by Serhii Surzhykov (“we”). It is free, with an optional Plus subscription or one-time purchase.
In short
- There is no account and no server of ours that holds your countdowns.
- Your countdowns live on your devices and in your own iCloud.
- A few services receive only what they need for one job: crash reports, anonymous usage statistics and purchases. Each is listed below.
- No advertising, no tracking across apps, no data sold.
What you create, and where it lives
Countdown titles, dates and time zones, colours, repeat rules, photos, reminder settings and app settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they sync through Apple iCloud (CloudKit private database) to your iPhone and iPad. That copy is in your Apple Account; we cannot see or read it. Photos are downscaled before they are saved.
Apple Watch receives your countdowns from your paired iPhone and only shows them. Widgets, the Lock Screen and Live Activities read your countdowns on the device; Live Activities are started on the device, with no server involved.
Permissions
- Calendar — only if you use Import from Calendar or Take Event from Calendar. iOS asks for full calendar access. TimeFeel reads your upcoming events so you can pick the ones to turn into countdowns. Nothing in your calendar is changed and nothing is sent anywhere; only the events you pick are added.
- Photos — you choose a photo with the system picker, which runs outside TimeFeel, so no photo-library permission is needed and TimeFeel sees only that photo.
- Notifications — reminders are scheduled and delivered by your device. There is no push server.
TimeFeel does not use your location, contacts, microphone, camera or health data, and does not use artificial intelligence.
What leaves your device, and to whom
None of these services receives your countdowns, their titles, dates or photos.
TelemetryDeck — anonymous usage statistics
To see which features are used, TimeFeel, its widgets and its Apple Watch app send anonymous signals naming events such as onboarding steps, Plus screens shown, a countdown created (with options like whether it repeats or has a photo), a calendar import (with the number of events), a reminder permission answer, a widget added, a Plus screen shown or a purchase completed (with product, storefront country and currency). Each signal carries an identifier hashed on the device from Apple’s per-developer vendor identifier, plus the app version, device model, OS version and language. No advertising identifier is used. See TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy.
Sentry — crash reports
Release builds of the app, its widgets and its Apple Watch app send a report when the app crashes, freezes or hits an error: the error and its stack trace, device model, OS and app version, and for a sample of sessions anonymous performance timings, profiles of the app’s own code and Apple’s crash and hang diagnostics (MetricKit). Reports never contain your countdowns, screenshots or what is on screen. Name, e-mail, IP address and location are removed on the device; a random per-install identifier groups reports from one device. Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) processes them in the European Union. See Sentry’s privacy policy.
RevenueCat — purchases
See Purchases below.
Purchases
Plus is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. Purchases are managed by RevenueCat, Inc., which receives the App Store transaction, an anonymous identifier and, as with any internet request, your IP address and basic device information, never your name or e-mail. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show advertising or share data for advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an account, an e-mail address or a phone number.
How long data is kept
Your countdowns stay on your devices and in your iCloud for as long as you keep them. Anonymous statistics and crash reports are kept by their providers for a limited period and then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- Delete any countdown in the app; it is removed from your devices and your iCloud.
- To remove everything, delete the app, then its data in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage.
- Turn off Calendar or Notifications access in Settings at any time.
- There is no switch for statistics and crash reports; deleting the app ends all collection.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or a place with similar law, you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your data and to object to its processing. Your countdowns are held on your device and in your own iCloud, so you exercise those rights in the app. Anonymous statistics and crash reports are not linked to you, but you can still ask about them; write to the address below and you will get an answer within 30 days.
Legal bases under the GDPR: your consent for calendar and notification access; the performance of a contract for purchases; and our legitimate interest in a stable app for crash reports and anonymous statistics.
Security
Your data is protected by your device passcode, Apple’s encryption of device and iCloud data, and your Apple Account security. Every network request uses an encrypted HTTPS connection.
Children
TimeFeel is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and it will be deleted.
Changes
This policy may change as the app changes. Each new version is published on this page with a new date.
